Your town inspector will not release a C.O. without a fully inspected and approved septic system. That is how important it is to have a properly installed septic system! So what should you, the homeowner, need to know first about the septic installation process?
First, when deciding the placement of a septic system, an engineer (required on all new construction) will consider the land available to install the system and the type of soil that it is being installed in.
The engineer will put other factors into consideration, such as:
- Well locations
- Setbacks to other homes/buildings and property lines
- Pools, sheds, ponds, rivers, streams
- Groundwater elevations, ledge, rock outcroppings,
- Street drainage, city water lines
- Number of bedrooms in the home (for residential systems)
–to name a few!
The soil type, as well as these other factors, determine the size of the tank, fields, and complete system. Soil types are identified through deep hole & percolation testing, performed by our team, and the local sanitarian.
Once the official qualifications are met, the AJM Septic & Excavating team can get to work designing a septic system layout that meets all the necessary requirements.
When the design is complete, a brand new septic tank can be installed in as little as 2 weeks!
If you’re looking for a well-qualified team with years of experience installing septic systems, then look no further than AJM Septic & Excavating. We will get the septic system installed, inspected, and finished quickly.
