Spring brings water trouble. Everyone knows the saying April showers brings may flowers… It also brings flooded basements.
A Client of ours called us back to his home in Weston this June to install some footing drains. He has a large basement in his home, and every time the rain came down he found the basement flooding.
This spring in Connecticut has not been a very wet one, but the few rains we had caused trouble.
Water getting into a basement is a big problem. First of all, there is a loss of storage space. Nothing can be stored safely with the fear that it will be soaked in the next rain. Plus, wet basements can lead to mold problems in the future. Not good.
So our team arrived to the site ready to repair the existing footing drains.
Turns out, there were no footing drains. So instead of replacing old drains, we will be installing new footing drains.
Unfortunately, there was a large bluestone patio already in place that needed to be removed. This required a jackhammer to safely and efficiently remove.
Once all obstacles were removed, our team was able to get the work of water control started.
Progress Report

- old patio removed with jackhammer
